What we do with your info

Last updated 19 August 2026

One high school student runs this petition. There is no company behind it. Nothing here is sold. This page says exactly what we collect and why.

What signing collects

  • Your name. So the signature is a real person.
  • Your email. So we can tell you when a board meeting matters. It also stops one person being counted twice.
  • If you are a student, parent, teacher, or staff. So the board sees who is asking.
  • Your school. Same reason.
  • Your ZIP code. So we can group names by board district. Then each board member can see support from their own area.
  • Your comment, if you write one. We may read it to the board.
  • The date you signed.

What is public

Only the total number. That is the only signature data this site ever shows. Your name, email, school, ZIP, and comment never appear on any page. They are not even sent to your browser.

Who sees it

Ravyar Mohammed Taher, who runs this campaign. The point of a petition is to show it to the MNPS Board. So names, roles, schools, and ZIP groups are meant to go to board members. That is what you are signing for.

Your email is not part of that. We only use it to send updates about this campaign.

What we will never do

  • We never sell or trade your info.
  • We never use it for ads.
  • We never give it to any other group or mailing list.
  • We only email about this campaign, and not often.

Tracking

There is none. This site sets no cookies. There is no analytics and no ad tracking. Nothing gets saved in your browser.

The page with the sign-up form loads one thing from another company. It is a Cloudflare check that tells a real person apart from a bot, so scripts cannot fill the petition with fake names. For that check, Cloudflare sees your IP address and how your browser behaves. It does not set a cookie here and it does not follow you around the web. Every other page on this site, including this one, loads nothing from anyone else.

We also count how many times each internet connection sends the form in a short window, to stop one script flooding it. That count is held in memory for a few minutes and then gone. It is never written down or attached to your signature.

The company that hosts this site keeps normal server logs, the way every website does. We do not read them or link them to signatures.

Where it is kept

Signatures go into a private Google Sheet. I own it, and the website has its own key so it can add rows. Nobody else can open it. It is not shared and it is not public. Google stores the file, the same way Google stores any private document, so Google’s own privacy terms apply to it.

Your browser never talks to Google on this site. The site saves your signature to the sheet from its own server after you press the button.

We keep the sheet while the campaign runs, then delete it.

If you are under 18

Most signers are students, so this matters. If you are under 18 and want your name taken off, email us and we delete it. A parent or guardian can ask too. No questions.

Getting a copy, or getting deleted

Email stxrmymp4@gmail.com. You can see what we have, fix it, or have it deleted. Deleting also takes it out of the count. There is no form and no account.

If this page changes

The date at the top changes with it. If we change how signatures get used, we email signers. We do not leave you to spot it yourself.

Who is responsible

An independent campaign run by Ravyar Mohammed Taher, an MNPS high school student. It is not connected to Metro Nashville Public Schools or the Board of Education. MNPS cannot see this site or its data. Questions go to the contact page.
